Dear Praying Friends and Family,
Another month has quickly passed by, and it is once again time to share with you the Lord’s blessings. I trust you all had a blessed Thanksgiving remembering the goodness of our God and thanking Him for His blessings. In an effort to keep this month’s update a little more succinct, this update will be broken into three sections, Praises, Prayer Requests, and Pictures!
Praises
1. We enjoyed a sweet time of fellowship with the Baptist Mid-Missions missionary families here in Lima on Thanksgiving Day. While the food, games, and laughter were wonderful, the greatest blessing of the day came when we met Fernando, a young Peruvian man who joined us for the meal. Fernando shared with us that just minutes before we arrived at missionary Stan and Ruth Templeton’s house, he had prayed with Stan to accept Christ as his Savior. What joy! We praise the Lord for a new brother in Christ.
2. I have begun meeting with Karina for discipleship on Thursday afternoons. It is exciting to see her desire to grow.
3. The Lord’s daily provision of safety, strength, and guidance. I’m so thankful for His Word that instructs, convicts, and renews me, and for the godly people He has placed in my life to help me grow.
4. In one month my parents will be arriving to spend two weeks with me here in Lima! I praise the Lord for the opportunity they have to come see the ministries God has given to me in Peru, meet the people, and experience the Peruvian culture! More updates to come . . . :-)
5. The Freys returned from the States!
Prayer Requests
1. Wisdom in discipling Karina. Though she is only 21 years old, she is already married and is a mother to a 15 month old little boy. Pray that I can encourage her in the Lord.
2. This coming Sunday I will begin a study through lessons in the book of 1 Samuel with my Sunday school class. Pray that the Lord will prepare my heart to teach and will grow me through the study of His Word.
3. The salvation of Jocelyn, one of the girls in my Sunday school class.
3. Christmas programs at Fetzer and church. On December 16th, we will be putting on the Christmas musical, “Christmas Comes to Lone Star Gulch” at Fetzer. Pray for the last preparations and practices that need to take place. Our church Christmas program will be on Sunday night, December 18th.
4. Pray that both our students and we as teachers will finish the school semester strong! Pray for creative energy and enthusiasm to motivate and inspire our students and for them to be diligent in their studies.
5. Spiritual growth and unity among the church members at El Manantial. Pray as well for Cesar as he preaches in Pastor Jim’s absence.
6. Direction and wisdom in regard to future decisions.
Thank you all for allowing me to share with you some of what God has been doing. I feel that both lists could go on and on, yet for the sake of space I will end for now. May each of us stay faithful in the work to which God has called us!
Serving the Savior,
Heidi Robbins
